Overview
At Selflekt, we take user privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Data
- Phone number (stored as HMAC-SHA256 hash — never in plain text)
- Username, first name, and last name
- Profile photo (optional)
- Registration date
1.2 Evaluation Data
- Votes and scores given (voter identity stored in encrypted form)
- Received evaluations and statistical summaries
- Self-assessment data
1.3 Technical Data
- Device type and operating system
- Anonymous app usage statistics
- FCM push notification token
1.4 Selflekt Table Data
- Table name and Table photo (optional, uploaded by the Table admin)
- Free-text evaluation categories written by the Table admin
- Scores given and received within the Table (no user is ever shown who gave whom what score)
- Table membership and invitation records
- The result table frozen at the moment results are revealed
- Table report records (reporting user, reason, and comment)
2. How We Use Your Data
Collected data is used solely for:
- Providing services and account management
- Operating the voting and evaluation system
- Score calculation and statistical analysis
- Security, verification, and spam prevention
- Service quality improvement
- Fulfilling legal obligations
Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or sold to third parties.
3. Data Security
- Phone numbers are hashed with HMAC-SHA256; plain text is never stored
- Voter identities are stored in anonymized form
- Data is transmitted via encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS)
- Cloud infrastructure is hosted in Europe (Frankfurt)
- Regular security audits are conducted
4. Data Sharing
Your personal data is not shared with third parties except:
- Service providers: SMS, cloud storage, notification, and AI services (for service purposes only)
- Legal obligation: Court order or competent authority request
- Security: In cases of serious security threats
Visibility specific to Selflekt Table:
- Table results are shown only to the members of that Table; they are not applied to your public profile and are not included in your general scores
- The Table name and the name of the person who created it are visible, in the link preview shown by messaging apps, to anyone holding the invite link, and may be cached by that app
- In a 3-person Table only 2 people other than the member themselves rate that member, so a member who knows the score they gave can derive the other person's score from the average shown; joining a Table is confirmed with this knowledge
- Table records are retained after a Table is removed from access, for record integrity and report review (access is closed; records are not deleted)
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (account deletion)
- Object to data processing
- Data portability

6. Child Safety
Selflekt has a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). The platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. Registration by individuals under 13 is technically prevented.
If you encounter content or behavior that raises child safety concerns, you can report it using the in-app "Report" feature or by emailing info@selflekt.com directly. All reports are reviewed and, where necessary, reported to the relevant authorities.
